Pardon me, but I was posting this on previous thread before T put his little “new post” sticker up, because of the comment about the poll of creationists v. evolutionists.
The video brought tears to my eyes. The 60’s - not so long ago - was the Voting Rights Act. My grandmother’s generation was the Women’s Voting Rights Act. And this admin is attacking all voting rights of those that disagree.
The courage of the men and women who were inspired by Dr. King and worked by his side and with him amazes me every time I see or hear it. Such courage. Against such great opposition. Opposition so great that the ERA was not passed on a number of tries. Still not.
Tears.
For me, I have done my best to honor their courage and have tried to instill the same in my children. I am so happy when I read that the new voters, our collective children, are voting “color blind and gender blind”!!
There’s this.
Hillary Clinton’s chief campaign strategist met with Colombia’s ambassador to the U.S. on Monday to discuss a bilateral free-trade agreement, a pact the presidential candidate opposes.
Attendance by the adviser, Mark Penn, was confirmed by two Colombian officials. He wasn’t there in his campaign role, but in his separate job as chief executive of Burson-Marsteller Worldwide, an international communications and lobbying firm.
The firm has a contract with the South American nation to help promote congressional approval of the trade deal, among other things, according to filings with the Justice Department.
And then there’s this.
Hillary Rodham Clinton’s chief strategist apologized Friday for meeting with Colombian officials pushing a free trade agreement that the presidential candidate opposes.
“The meeting was an error in judgment that will not be repeated and I am sorry for it,” Penn said in a written statement…”
Ya Think??????
Bet Hill has a headache…
She has surrounded herself with dummies, will that carry over to Oval Office, IF big IF she gets in there? Just wondering.

Yeah, wonder indeed. For a “brilliant” “strong” woman who I’m supposed to trust with my sleeping children, she sure gets fucked over a lot by men doing stupid shit.

The Old Man, who is spinning wildly today regarding his multiple “No” votes on MLK Jr. Day in AZ, tied to this video I think –
A little noticed remark in the press is generating heat for McCain’s presidential campaign.
On Wednesday, McCain’s campaign told CNN that the Arizona senator’s medical file would be produced May 15. Trouble is, they previously said they’d be released April 15, and they’ve refused to turn the records over to the New York Times on at least three occasions.
This has led some on the left to question, “What’s he hiding?”
“Mr. McCain has yet to make his full medical records or his physicians available to reporters,” the Times veteran medical correspondent Dr. Lawrence Altman penned in March.
“In 1999, during Mr. McCain’s first race for president, he gave the public an extraordinary look at his medical history — 1,500 pages of medical and psychiatric records…
Michigan Democrats are not going to hold a do-over presidential primary.,,,Michigan Democrats hope the campaigns can agree on a way to split Michigan’s delegates so they can be seated at the Aug. 25-28 convention.
He could have something since 1999. Or maybe there’s problems with the 1999 stuff. He does have an anger issue, which could be related to his war experience (PTSD, which is only recently being diagnosed and defined, has been floated around lately). Memory problems, which he seems to be showing lately with regard to Iraq, Iran, Shia, Shite (remember, back in the day, Reagan was teased for his “misspeaking” and it turned out to be early signs of ALZ). So, who knows. Like to know. Like I would like to have some transparency with regard to the Clinton tax returns and the Clinton Foundation. All looks like hiding to me… delay till it’s too late to make a diff?
Melanoma, and it is notorious for recurrence. Which would be awful for him. But it is a most virulent cancer. That is being floated out there too. All a bunch of guesses.
Oh boy! Get to go pick up some checks - someone is paying their invoice!!! yippee!!!! This is the part of working for oneself and being a little guy that is hard… trade offs.
There’s an awful lot of evasion and flim-flammery floating about the political landscape, isn’t there? With so many delays regarding releasing his records, one does begin to wonder. Especially since he was so forthcoming in the past.
Here’s a link to a very cool product for those trying to go greener at the grocery. The site is http://www.envirosax.com, they sell reusable grocery bags in very cool colors and patterns. A 5 bag set will hold a boatload of groceries, and the bags fold up into a pouch tiny enough to fit in your purse. A customer had the black and white graphic set today and they are a much better choice than those damn chintzy plastic bags available at the store. I ordered the retro set!

I know the health care topic is timely and needed, but it’s Friday and my brain cells are in a weakened state. Making fun of Jonah is always entertaining.
So the health care stuff would be interesting (well ‘interesting’ might not be the right word in this case, shall I say ‘educational’ instead, but I’ve already voted so it’s up to those pesky last 10 states who will be voting soon. They might want to know this stuff. For me, I want McLame’s health care plan dissected so I know my choices for November.

Cool!
Scientists have found and dated the oldest human remnants ever uncovered in the Americas — a discovery that places people genetically similar to Native Americans in Oregon more than 14,000 years ago and 1,000 years earlier than previous estimates.

That poll mentioned before - wonder what they will think of this. Even details of what was in the diet… ooohhh, science!
Good morning to those on or near The Coast, good afternoon to those on or near The Shore.

Fat Charlie is torn between two possible topics for tonight’s post:
(1) Medicated Goo, Part 3, a discussion of an aspect of the Clinton and Obama plans that they apparently don’t want you thinking about;
or
(2) Fun with Johah Goldberg.
If you have a preference, let him know by making a comment. He usually lurks while he’s doing his research.
