Melanie Morgan Drunkblogging Watch
Uh-oh. She’s getting into the into the cooking sherry again:
Don’t drink and compute. That’s the advice I always give myself, which I have promptly ignored.
And we know how that turns out.
But a couple of thoughts tonight as I swill a few adult beverages.
Oh, Melamine, you are too kind.
I lost a job today, but I didn’t lose a child.
Yeah, she only does that at the poker table.
I didn’t lose a limb. And I didn’t lose my passion for our troops.
This is like that scene in the first episode of Absolutely Fabulous when Edina drunkenly slurs, “I’ve got all this, and my wonderful children who love me…” before she dissolves into a blubbering mess of spilled Stolichnaya and melting MAC eyeliner.
Morgan goes on to sanctimoniously drape herself in the mantle of “Supporting the Troops” for a full page before she finally goes face-down into the keyboard, going conveniently blank on the fact that holding them in the line of fire indefinitely while their marriages shatter and jobs disappear, then bringing them home to inadequate health care and no benefits is assuredly not what I would call supporting them. Nor is sending them copies of your own books and boxes of cookies and turning a profit for yourselves in the process.
Keep mixing up those bellinis, Morgana Malaprop, you’ve got a lot to answer for. I think all of us watching your disintegration will certainly enjoy it more if you’re doing it all when you’re wasted.

T–”Nor is sending them copies of your own books and boxes of cookies and turning a profit for yourselves in the process.”
Everyone in the public eye should have to account for any profits made from their involvement in war activities.

Apparently, in right wing land, being a penny-ante war profiteer is better than being no war profiteer at all. Let’s throw the bums out.

Ugh. Just finished supper and now my tummy is a bit queasy. These harpies do all run together, don’t they. Are we completely sure they’re not all the same person? Have they all ever been seen in public together? Course of that happened it might actually bring about the end of the world. That much bitterness and hatred in one place would surely require fumigation afterward, just for starters!

I did Petro, always appreciated. I tend to let myself get a bit too overwrought at times, which only leads to bitchiness on my part. Throw in some hormones and things can get ugly around here very quickly

Is this the bunch that it turns out haven’t had an audit in ages? bad enough when they plot to steal from working people, but evidently they will also steal from their rich buddies too. Karma is a lovely thing, ain’t it?

LOL !!!
I prefer giving meditation classes to women because they reach a higher and deeper state of realization …
When men ask what’s the biggest benefit for them to learn meditation, I reply, “Knowing when to be silent!” *g*

Hi e, from last thread, yes, I am in Indiana (but far northwest, South Bend). Both of my kids and their families live in the Indianapolis area, but neither lives in Ackerson’s 4th Congressional District, which is adjacent to, but west of Indy.
I don’t know a thing about the incumbent in that district, Steve Buyer. Nels A. is endorsed by Evan Bayh.

well, I gotta admit I was quite excited to hear this news yesterday. Just think….lil ole me, the former employee of a potential future Congressperson….! I’ve even been invited to a fundraiser!!
ahem. Yeah, I know……getting a life IS on my agenda, really it is.
Anyway, Nels is a good man, and I do believe he would be a great Congressperson. He was once called an “idealogue” by an opposing counsel frustrated by his refusal to sell out his clients…..in the lawyer world, that’s sort of equivalent to being Abraham Lincoln.

Hello, fellow Trexicans.
Hope everyone is well. The Hebrew month of Adar Aleph is coming to an end. So far this month 28 missiles have been fired from Gaza into Israel. Today a murderer started gunning down students at a Jewish religious school in Jerusalem. Eight dead.
Stay tuned for the forthcoming condemnation of Israel if she tries to stop the attacks on her citizens.
