As Betty Cracker says, I don’t generally have a whole lot of use for Rick Sanchez, who seems like he really missed his calling as understudy to The Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore, but watching him serve it up to “Joe” the “Plumber” in the clip above is already my No. 1 Media Moment of 2009.

    Damn! Did CNN pass out some balls that day or something? Me thinks that reporting and journalistic integrity may be making an ever so slight comeback.

    Could it be that with the demise of the Never-ending Neo-con Buffet we might hear some truth on the squawk box instead of talking heads regurgitating the daily talking points from Turdblossom’s poisonous and vile fantasies?

    Since Rick Sanchez smacked down the Neo-con posterboy troll like that, I actually may have to change my opinion of him. Kudos, Rick!

    sanchez is a little goofy for my tastes, but he’s been pretty down to earth, ie, reality, over the past months, imo.

    you could do worse than rick sanchez for a tv commentator, if you factor in the low standards of today’s pundits, that is to say, compared to wolf blitzer, rick sanchez is edward r. murrow.
