Thank you for being the completely clueless, classless rube that you are. What would a sharp-tongued liberal character assassin like me do without you? Please, oh, please aggressively campaign to be your party’s nominee for 2012. People like you and Joe the Plumber give me hope that liberals will have someone to point at and laugh hysterically about for a whole generation.

    I am not a Latin scholar (and my French is pretty rusty) but the usual translation of the Latin is the “exception proves the rule” which of course makes no sense. The Latin verb “probare” really means to test rather than to prove so the exception tests the rule. Likewise probate tests a will. /pedantry
