No doubt Harvey Milk, Matthew Shepard, Teish Cannon, and the thousands of other victims of anti-gay hate crimes would beg to differ, if they could. As Think Progress notes, “Huckabee’s lame violence threshold is nothing more than a shoddy attempt to conceal his deep and fundamental homophobia.”

Gaaaaaaaah. This is just another example of how incoherent and intellectually confused conservatives and professional “Christians” are. They’ll make up whatever reasons they can pull out of their asses to justify their ignorance and prejudices, the facts be damned. These people deserve to be banished to the wilderness for however long it takes for us to catch this country up to the rest of the world in terms of human rights, dignity, and equality. And then some.

When he was the Governor, Mike Huckabee released a violent rapist from prison; said criminal went on to rape and murder another victim.
Our pundits and reporters shouldn’t bother giving him and his bigoted spew a pixelated mention. Nor a moment of air or a millimeter of column space. His opinion and dogma are harmful–make that dangerous–and his “morals” are meaningless.

Huckabee is simply a typical talibangelical asshat. Nobody else’s civil rights are ever endangered, but the second anybody says anything even remotely critical of the fundies, they start screaming about bigotry and discrimination.
