Prayers Answered!!!1!1!1!!
I always thought Spike seemed a little bi-curious. Is this foreplay?
This, by the way, is BBC’s trailer for the new season of Torchwood, which I am apparently going to have to start watching. Anyone know if it’s at Netflix yet?

Cassie and I spent an hour today learning about magnet HS programs and other options for gifted HS students in El Paso. She’s gonna be OK.

They have field trips there into other countries! Wow! and into New Mexico. She may leave Texas.
And, of course, come stay with me for a week or two over the summer. And, of course, still be able to visit my folks up in NY.

I’m glad to hear this. The emotional part of leaving friends is hard. She knows she has a bunch of concerned and loving “adopted” aunts n uncles here, but its not the same as physically hanging out with pals.

See? Nothing is every nearly as good or bad as we think it’s going to be.
And with that, I leave you kids the keys to the treehouse for the night.
If you scratch up my Marvin Gaye record, I will get Medieval on your asses in the morning.

Trex, street date for Torchwood’s series 1 at Amazon on Jan 22nd. It should be on Netflix shortly aftewards if not simultaneously!
Season 2’s premiere airdate is jan 26th on BBC Three. *flails and bounces*
Figures you’d want to know. And if you torrent tv shows? Look online for season 2 stuff after you catch up. I’m quite sure you’ll want to catch up after watching season 1. ^^

Thanks, TRex. I did not read thoroughly enough. Since he had an actual face pasted over Nixon’s face I thought he was someone in particular.
I hope I never meet him.

Re Hillary and the pundits, I thought this cartoon from Thursday’s Toronto Globe & Mail pretty much nailed it.

Contrary to popular belief, there are some things that Canadians don’t do better than we do.
Respecting free speech and diversity of opinion is one of them.
If you’re serious about respecting free speech and diversity of opinion, you are in favor of free speech and diversity of opinion even when it’s an idiot like Mark Steyn talking stupid s**t out of his pasty white a**.

Suzanne,
Torchwood is a Dr Who spinoff and anagram of the words Doctor Who as well. *grin* It’s less ‘cheesy’ in some ways but tends to explore sexuality in a much franker way. Particularly since it’s aired past ‘prime time’ in the UK on BBC Three. Anything after 9pm is considered adult fare, and Torchwood is that. Particualrly since it centers around a pansexual Time Agent from the 51st century, heading up a team of investigators. Their bas e, in Cardiff. Sits on top of a space/time rift which attracts all sorts of big uglies.
So the sexuality tends to run rampant among the cast, much less the snark… But it’s just as good with long range plot as Dr Who. It’s fun tv. XD At least for me. Much less watching John Barrowman flirt with everyone. *grin* For all he adores Ianto? He’s a rampant flirt.

Good morning all! The headache has receded, thank the gods, and I’m heading out to work. Gotta meet with the little guys teachers and therapists today to set new goals for him. He’s mastered everything set for him last year, w00t! His speech is really taking off, and it’s so cool to see his personality emerging now that his frustration over communication has gone away. *proud momma rant over*, I now return you to your regularly scheduled activities

Ok good rain here last night.
And me and the boyfriend concluded long ago that the Great American Public would be more freaked out by men kissing lovingly than men having sex.
And I’m freaked out by having had the Hiker Murderer living all around the North Georgia Mountains. He left the girl’s remains in the Dawson Forest some 4 miles from my boyfriend’s place. He stayed in campsites all over this area, in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management area, and just down from my current jobsite. He appears to have tried to use the Credit card of one of the people murdered in the Pisgah Natl. Forest in NC just up the road in Ducktown TN. I know some people here, with the Forest Service and at covenience stores, who have IDed the fucker.
Scary.

I will post this again tonight so that our late night TReehouse denizens (and TRex) will see it. Our Apple rep is going to to get WUGA up on iTunes for us, so we don’t have to go through several steps to listen to TRex’s Night Music while we chat in the TReehouse in the evenings.
I don’t know if our rep will let me know when it’s up or whether we’ll just have to keep checking. I suggested it be listed under both Classical and Public, since it is both music and NPR. Will let you know what I hear.

ONe Gary Michael Hilton abducted 24 year old Meredith Emerson from the Blood Mountain area (on the Appalachian trail some 20 miles from me) held her for three days, murdered and decapitated her. He’s now a suspect in up to 5 other murders/disappearances in the area, one in Florida and the elderly couple of hikers in NC.
His modus seems to have been to approach victims with his dog (Emerson’s dog and his were seen playing by other hikers). She was a hiking enthusiast, with martial arts training. And he was all over the area.

He seems to have been active for a while.
