I’d like to see Sarah Palin say what she said last night to this community organizer.
We’ve got a long march ahead, y’all. Are we going to let some inch-deep slick-talking Right Wing demagogue from Alaska turn us back because she hurt our feelings? Are we?
They can laugh and call us names. But they can’t hold us back. Trust me, I’ve been called a lot of nasty names. A lot. And that only ever hurt me as much as I let it.
We’re marching on That Freedom Road. Don’t forget that. They’ve got their lipsticked pit bull, okay, fine, but the people who marched for our freedom a generation ago faced down real live police dogs, firehoses, billy clubs. (Not to mention what’s going on in St. Paul right now as we speak, but that’s a whole different post.)
So, the GOP is going to call us ugly names and belittle our accomplishments because that’s all they’ve got now. We’re back to the same old grade school playground war games.
Well that’s just fine. We’ll whip their asses anyway.
